Mule Deer Taxidermy Gallery
Mel's wife Ann taking her first mule deer buck. Her story of taking the buck appeared on The NRA club connection magazine. Then again in another NRA magazine because of her story and also because she won the rifle at the NRA banquet here in Libby.
The mule deer is primarily in the western United States and received it's name from it's large mule like ears. The most noticeable differences between whitetails and muleys are the color of their tails and configuration of their antlers. The mule deer's tail is black tipped. Mule deer antlers "fork" as they grow rather than branching from a single main beam (as with white-tails).
